It is with great pleasure that I write this reference for the Weyonechildfoundation, an organization that tirelessly works to improve the lives of children in vulnerable situations. As partner of this foundation, I have had firsthand experience of the passion and effectiveness with which this foundation carries out its mission. In particular the founder Santigie. The Weyonechildfoundation was established with the aim of supporting children who are victims of poverty, abuse, and social exclusion. What I particularly appreciate about their approach is the holistic way in which they support children: not only do they provide immediate assistance in the form of food, shelter, and medical care, but they also offer educational programs and emotional support, laying the foundation for a better future for these children. The professionalism and dedication of the team within the foundation is impressive. They work closely with local communities and other partners to implement sustainable solutions, and they are deeply involved at every stage of the process. Their transparency and accountability regarding the use of funds give me confidence in their ability to make a real impact with the resources they receive. What truly sets the Weyonechildfoundation apart is their emphasis on empowering children, so that they not only receive the support needed to survive, but also the tools and knowledge to become self-sufficient in the future. This makes the foundation not just a compassionate aid organization, but also a key player in promoting long-term social change. I wholeheartedly recommend the Weyonechildfoundation for any partnership or investment, and I am confident that the impact they make in the lives of children is both undeniable and life-changing. Should you require any further information about my experiences with the organization or specific projects I have been involved with, please do not hesitate to contact me. Chris Crowstaff & Andrew Sampson
Ceo & Founder of Safe World For Women
WYCF established contact with Chris and Andrew in 2013 through their organisation Safe World For Women. Even though it is no longer active, Chris and Andrew have supported WYCF from their home in the UK over the years with spreading WYCF’s word, processing international and online donations and updating our website.

Marcus Olsson
Ceo & Founder of Safe World For Women
Traveling to Sierra Leone for the first time in 2015, Marcus started by teaching our children in Kroo Bay. After returning home to Sweden, he maintained a close relationship with our Team and supported our activities through fundraising. Marcus came back to Freetown in 2017 as part of his Master’s research and is now planning a new trip to collaborate with WYCF on an Arts project in late 2018.

I want to say thank you so much for WYCF’s support while I was in Freetown. Without your help, I could not have completed my thesis. You easily have the best website and email-response time of any of the NGOs I researched in Sierra Leone. Your immediate responses, offers of Skype calls, etc. were very reassuring, and overall the operation is tight and professional. Even though our contact was very last minute, Sara and Santigie made me feel very welcome and made sure I was always feeling comfortable, from the moment I first emailed you to the day I left.

Sara May
Ceo & Founder of Safe World For Women
Sara met WYCF in 2015 when she travelled from the USA to Freetown to photograph our work in Kroo Bay and George Brook. She has since remained an avid supporter, having fundraised to alleviate our running costs and even travelled back to Sierra Leone to further document our activities.

Helen Lee & Liz Hunter
Ceo & Founder of Safe World For Women
Helen and Liz first expressed their interest in WYCF in late 2016. After months of planning, they became keen fundraisers in the UK and finally met our Team in Freetown to help us launch the Girls to Women Reusable Pads project in October 2017. They remain closely involved and supportive of WYCF activities.

I'm loving what I've done so far, and WYCF seems like a great organisation. Living in Freetown is certainly a new experience. One thing WYCF gives you is a much more realistic exposure to life here. Beyond my campaign, I'm also getting the opportunity to do other things - I've been helping with construction material testing, and also going to the schools to help the children with letters to their Australian pen pals.

I have just finished my placement at We Yone and I would definitely recommend it to people who are willing to get stuck in, as We Yone will give you lots of opportunities to do so! In terms of safety, I always felt comfortable. The neighbours were very friendly and you felt part of a community. The office was also tucked away on the side of the hillside, away from busy traffic. When I first arrived, I was very much willing to volunteer on whatever was needed, but Santigie found me a project that suited my background exactly. We Yone has such varying responsibilities that they can offer volunteers a range of projects for them to work on, which I really appreciated. I've volunteered in South Africa and Ghana before, and I think Santigie and We Yone Child Foundation are the most inspiring organization that I've volunteered for.
